Thats hell a fantastic price if we can compare to other products with the same specs lets say Blackmagic, AJA, Matrox, Canopus, etc. Of course maybe we can not judge by its price though.. The other products i mentioned above was not to dedicated to massive compositing works, even if they were all have the ability for SD, HD, 2K or even 4K features up to 3 Gb / SDI, they still under US$ 2000,00.
And yes, this Bluefish444 HD Lust Dual-Link Video Capture Card is really dedicated for massive compositing works, DI (Digital Intermediate), CG Generators, Advanced Color Grading. And I have heard before in some forums (sorry I forgot in what forum) that they say the Nucoda Film Master requires this kind of Video Capture Card Hardware Specs.. Of course.. were talking about High End Color Grading System which is they’re requirements for hardwares like this so you wont missed a single pixel of a 4K imagery in every frame of it.. ;’) (but you can still work in 2K proxies files though)
